What happens if a claim is made after the sale of my home?
Contact our customer support team as soon as you receive a demand letter. They will ask you to send a copy of the letter and connect you to one of our legal partners in your area.
What if I purchase Home Sale Legal Protection™ and my house does not close?
We can hold your order for Protection until your house does close or issue a refund.
When does my Home Sale Legal Protection™ take effect?
Your protection takes effect after the close of your home.
Is Sellers Shield a home warranty company?
No. We focus exclusively on preventing legal issues and protecting sellers from home sale lawsuits.
When do buyer disputes usually occur?
Most claims happen months and sometimes years after the sale.
Will my insurance cover a claim?
Most standard homeowners and umbrella insurance policies do not protect home sellers in the event of a home sale lawsuit.
Why would a buyer make a claim against a seller?
Home problems and issues with the disclosure are the most common causes. However, buyers can sue a seller for any reason, whether the claim is frivolous or not.
If I do not purchase the Home Sale Legal Protection for my clients, will they have the opportunity to buy it themselves?
Yes, the client will be given the opportunity to buy the Home Sale Legal Protection themselves if the agent does not purchase it for them. Please Note: The client will never know their agent had the chance to buy the protection as a gift for them.
Do both sellers have to sign through Sellers Shield?
